Point Inside was selected as one of four finalists out of a pool of hundreds to present to executives at The Gap including: Ann Cleveland – Director of Media for Athleta, Piperlime and Gap Outlets/Banana Republic Factory Stores at The Gap, and Tricia Nichols – Global Lead of Consumer Engagement, Media Innovation & Partnership for Gap Brand. Winning the competition also gives us the opportunity to take the pitch in-house at Gap.
For the pitch, our CMO Todd Sherman focused on the Athleta brand of women’s sport apparel. After giving an overview of Point Inside, he dove into how Athleta (and the Gap) could use the Point Inside shopper engagement platform to help them use mobile technologies and customer data to first understand more about their customers and then reach out to them with very personalized and relevant messages. This then could positively affect the customer’s in-store as well as out-of-store shopping experience and increase store visits.
According to Todd, “the highlight of being at Ad:Tech was definitely pitching to the Gap. The company is very customer-centric and we look forward to creating a lasting partnership with the company.”
